Exhibition at Hiiumaa Museum’s Pikk Maja (Long House)

The theme work of the exhibition is the first known surviving painting by Konrad Mägi, Ahvenamaa motiiv (Åland Motif) from 1906. It was arguably in the summer of 1906 in Åland that Konrad Mägi started painting for the first time. For years, this painting belonged to the Finnish lady Anni Vesanto, who was Mägi’s supporter and close friend in the initial years of his career as an artist. The painting made its way to Estonia via Bukowski’s auction house in 2013.

Estonian Art Reaches Florence

The art exhibition "Visioni dal nord. Pittura Estone dalla collezione Enn Kunila, 1910-1940. Visions from the North. Estonian Painting from Enn Kunila’s Collection, 1910-1940" will be opened on 3 March at the Museo Novecento in Florence, Italy. A total of 33 works by 16 artists will be on display. Among them are works by Konrad Mägi, Ants Laikmaa, Nikolai Triik, Villem Ormisson, Herbert Lukk and Elmar Kits. The main emphasis is on ten paintings by Konrad Mägi and especially his works with Italian themes.

A total of 15 000 people visited the exhibition Symphony of Colours

The exhibition "Symphony of Colours" held at Kuressaare Castle from 2 July to 2 August 2015 attracted 15 000 visitors. In addition to thousands of Estonians, neighbours from Finland and Latvia also visited the exhibition, along with numerous visitors from Lithuania, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, France, Belgium, England and Georgia.

Exhibition “Symphony of Colours” in Kuressaare Castle

The exhibition is being held within the framework of the Saaremaa Opera Festival in cooperation with Eesti Kontsert from 2 July to 2 August 2015. This exhibition introduces works from Enn Kunila’s collection painted in Saaremaa and Italy by Estonian painters. Paintings by Konrad Mägi, Ants Laikmaa, Amandus Adamson, Eerik Haamer, Johannes Võerahansu and Johannes Greenberg are on display.

Exhibition of Estonian Art in Rome

29 January marked the official opening in the Vittoriano museum complex in Rome of an exhibition entitled “I colori del nord. L’arte estone tra il 1910 ed il 1945” dalla collezione di Enn Kunila / “Nordic Colours. Estonian art 1910-1945” from Enn Kunila’s collection. The exhibition in the Italian capital represented Estonia’s participation in EXPO 2015 in Milan.

The exhibition “Colours of the Golden Age” was very popular

The Exhibition „Colours of the Golden Age. Classical Estonian Painting from Enn Kunila’s Collection” that was open from 20th March until 7th September 2014 in Mikkel Museum in Kadriorg was very popular – it was visited by nearly 15 000 people. Positive feedback of the visitors, including children and schoolgroups, is reflected in the guestbook.

Nordic Colours in Brussels

The exhibition of Enn Kunila’s collection of art “Nordic Colours. Estonian art 1910-1945 from Enn Kunila’s collection” was open to visitors at the European Parliament in Brussels from 23-26 September 2013. The exhibition consisted of 34 paintings by Konrad Mägi, Ants Laikmaa, Ado Vabbe, Elmar Kits, Lepo Mikko, Endel Kõks and others.
