Work on this art collection has lasted for years and has made it possible to promote Estonian art at a high level.
The basis for putting this collection together has been the principle that the works belonging to it are by the best master artists and that each work of art represents its author in the best possible way.

Due to the twists and turns of history, there is a great deal of Estonian art abroad. The mission of this collection is to seek Estonian art from the places where the artists worked, or where the works ended up in the tumult of the Second World War.
